22-23.09.2021 the Department of Infectious and Children’s Infectious Diseases of the Tashkent Medical Academy in cooperation with the Andijan Medical Institute held an international scientific and practical conference “Modern problems of infectious diseases, epidemiology, microbiology and medical parasitology.”

The conference was attended by leading experts from Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and other countries.

The conference was opened by the head of our department, professor L.N. Tuychiev. They were followed by the Deputy Head of the Service of Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Professor N.S. Atabekov. The plenary session was chaired by professor of the department M.D. Akhmedova.

Along with foreign scientists, the assistant professor of our department G.K. Khudaykulova spoke at the plenary session. on the topic “Clinical and epidemiological features of COVID-19 in children in the Republic of Uzbekistan.”

Traditionally, during lunch, the ceremony “Mixing Uzbek pilaf” was held, which was attended by foreign guests.

On the 2nd day of the conference in the section of Infectious Diseases, Associate Professor N.U. Tadzhieva made a presentation “Vaccination against pneumococcal infection: the experience of Uzbekistan”, and associate professor Sh.A. Tashpulatova – “Clinical and laboratory features of chronic viral hepatitis D in pregnant women.”

Executive secretary of the conference, assistant of the PhD department Zh.A. Anvarov spoke in the section of epidemiology, laboratory diagnostics and parasitology on the topic “The use of herbal preparations in the treatment of intestinal parasitosis.”

In the section of the competition for young scientists, young assistants of the department Sultanova G.Yu. spoke on their topics. and Nazirov Sh.A. In this competition, the relevance of the topic G.Yu. Sultanova, the work of the young scientist was highly appreciated and received a prize.
