At the Academy of Public Policy and Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, another three-stage seminar entitled “Development of Capacity for Scientific Research, Innovation, Creation of New Knowledge and Technologies, and Their Practical Application (R&D)” has begun.
Organized within the framework of the joint project “Reducing the Burden of Diseases in Uzbekistan and Improving the System for Combating Infectious Diseases” between Korea University and the Sanitary-Epidemiological Committee, the seminar is attended by specialists from the Sanitary-Epidemiological Committee, the Center for Retraining and Advanced Training of Personnel in the Field of Sanitary-Epidemiological Well-being and Public Health, the Research Institute of Virology, and Tashkent State Medical University.
Within the five-day seminar, training sessions and master classes are planned to strengthen national research capacity in the field of combating infectious diseases. The events involve professors from the Republic of Korea — Cheon Byeong-cheol and Yoon Young-kyun, as well as researcher Kim Ji-yeon (in the field of epidemiology and infectious diseases), focusing on scientific article writing.
